Keep scam links
out of your server
KneeGuard is a Discord bot that deletes malware, phishing and scam links, then handles the sender the way you choose. Everything is set up from a panel inside Discord.
What it catches
Malware links
Known malware addresses from threat feeds, and direct downloads of programs and scripts.
Phishing and scams
Several scam feeds, fake brand names like “dlscord”, lookalike letters, giveaway and login bait.
Known scam images
Block an image once and resized or re-cropped copies are caught after that.
Scam messages
Pitches with no link at all, like “giveaway, DM me” or requests for seed phrases.
NSFW links and invites
Adult sites, and invites to servers Discord marks as age-restricted.
Link spam
The same link across channels, floods of links, and mass mentions.
Discord invites
Invites and invite redirectors. Invites to your own server are allowed.
Money links and walletsOptional
Donation and payment links and crypto wallet addresses, if you want them blocked.
Fair to your members
- Quiet: no public warnings or bot chatter. The message is deleted, the sender gets a private DM, and the full details go to your log channel.
- Guesses wait for a moderator: when it's only fairly sure, the message is deleted but nobody is muted, kicked or banned until a moderator clicks Confirm.
- Your rules: delete only, warn, timeout, kick, softban or ban, picked per category.
- Raid and impersonation alerts: a heads-up in your log when lots of new accounts join at once, or someone copies a staff name.
Hard to trick
Every message is read several ways, so disguised links still get caught, even inside forwards and polls.

Messages are checked in memory and not saved. The only exception is a message your moderators confirm as a scam: its words are kept, without their order, so reworded reposts get caught. Server settings are encrypted, offence records are deleted after your offence window (24 hours by default), and everything stored for a server is deleted when KneeGuard is removed.

How do I set it up?
Add it to your server, then run /setup (it needs Manage Server). Pick a log channel and how each kind of link is handled. Drag KneeGuard's role above the members it should act on, since Discord ignores actions on anyone higher.
Will it ban people by mistake?
When it's only guessing, it deletes the message and waits for a moderator to confirm before anyone is punished. You can turn that off if you want instant action.
Does it post warnings in my channels?
No. Senders get a private DM (you can turn that off), and the details go to your log channel.
Can I allow some links?
Yes, there's a whitelist page in /setup.
Does it store our messages?
No. Messages are checked in memory and thrown away. If your moderators confirm a message as a scam, its words are kept (without their order) to catch reposts. See the privacy policy.
