TheTracker

Privacy policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

TheTracker runs on your PC. It has no ads and no analytics. I only receive data from it if you sign in, and then only what is listed below.

What stays on your PC

Your recorded sessions and notes, preferences, linked accounts (Steam account ID, BattleTag), cached data and a random install ID are kept in %APPDATA%\TheTracker. Uninstalling leaves this folder in place; delete it to remove everything.

Where the data comes from

TheTracker never reads game memory. It connects to these services:

ServiceWhat it's forWhat is sent
Valve Game State IntegrationLive Dota 2 and CS2 trackingNothing leaves your PC: the game sends your own match state to TheTracker at 127.0.0.1.

If you sign in

Signing in with Steam opens an account on TheTracker's cloud service (run on Convex) so your recorded Dota 2 matches can sync between PCs and appear on the shared leaderboard. It stores:

Your username and match stats are visible to other players on the shared leaderboard.

Deleting your data

In Settings you can delete everything you've published to the cloud, or sign out. You can also email me to have your cloud data removed. Data on your PC stays until you delete it.

Notifications

Match notifications are ordinary Windows notifications shown by your PC. They are off by default.

Selling and sharing

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.
